What exactly am I actually purchasing?
When you purchase a Samplepack or other Organic Loops product, you are NOT obtaining OWNERSHIP of the sounds - you are in fact purchasing a LICENSE to use the sounds within your musical compositions, whether or not your compositions are released commercially. The original producer of the sounds will always remain the OWNER of the sounds.
What is a Zip file?
Zip files are single files, sometimes called "archives", that contain one or more compressed files. Zip files make it easy to keep related files together and make transporting, e-mailing, downloading and storing data and software faster and more efficient. The Zip format is the most popular compression format used in the Windows/Mac environment, and WinZip is the most popular compression utility.
How do I open a Zip file?
Download and Install WinZip from http://www.winzip.com
Copy the Zip file to the location on your hard drive you wish the Sample pack to be. On PC right click and use the Winzip Extract to here tab. On Mac Just Double Click the Zip file.
This way ensures all files and folder structures will be correct.
What if a School, College, Studio or other institution purchases a product?
The Licence covers the release of original tracks using the sounds and produced by the establishment or studio name -individual names can be added. If an individual within the organisation wishes to use the sounds as produced under his own name, that person must purchase another disc in order to obtain a licence agreement. IF you are a school, college or educational establishment and wish to purchase a multi-user agreement to cover your classes, these can be organised at a reduced rate by application to us directly.
Where do I find my download link for my order?
Once your order is completed, you will receive an email to the address specified by you, in your user account, this will contain a link back to our download area.
You get 3 download attempts for every product you have ever ordered and there is no time limit in which you have to use up these attempts - so if your hard drive crashes in a years time, you will still have some download attempts left.
Who else can use the sounds from the product that I purchased?
Nobody, unless they have also purchased the same product independently. Only the ORIGINAL PURCHASER of has the right to use the sounds commercially. This means that you CANNOT SELL or give the sounds to anyone else. If you do, and they use the sounds within a commercial release, they will have to pay royalties to Organic Loops for using the sounds. You will also have broken the law and may be liable to a heavy fine. You cannot place the samples on a torrent or file-sharing network.
Do I have to credit my use of the sounds on my album sleeve, etc?
This is not essential, but is always appreciated. If you have any other questions about usage or licensing, please contact us directly
Can I sell my CD once I have used it, or finished using it?
NO you cannot, you have purchased a single user licence for life, and it is not transferrable - so please don’t break the law and kill our business by trying to sell the samples you have licensed the use of from us, its unfair to all the musicians and producers who work hard to bring you these sounds at an affordable price.
My Zip file will not extract
The most likely cause of this is that the file has not been downloaded in full and the zip is corrupt.
You will need to download the File again, if you use all of your 3 download attempts and are still having problems, contact us.
I have to change my password every time I log in
If you experience this problem, that means you have not activated your account. Registration at Organic Loops is a two-step process.
When you registered for the first time you were sent an email with an activation link with "Please activate your new account" as the subject. Clicking that link completes the registration process and makes you an active user. Please check your spam filter for that activation email if you have not found it in your Inbox.
If you do not have that email for some reason, contact us and we will activate your account for you. Please state your user name and email address in your message.
I was charged multiple times for my purchase
It has happened a few times that technical issues were being solved by third parties at a moment when a user was making a purchase. At such moments the site was very slow.
If you experience substantial site slow-down in the check-out process:
DO NOT click the "Continue" button many times; and
DO NOT try to refresh the page.
If you still get charged more than you should have been, we will refund the excess amount. Although please notice that, we still ask you to contact us.
How does the user rating system for products work?
When you buy something at Organic Loops, your order is stored in your profile, where you can view all of your orders, download links and products purchased. By each product you buy you can add your personal rating once you have used the product and decided what you think of it. The system adds up all the ratings and gives the average number of stars that past purchasers have given that product.
